I’m Gardener Coo and I’ve been playing in the dirt for over 15 years. I live in coastal northern California, a surprisingly difficult climate that is in USDA zone 10b which is the same as Sunny San Diego and Heat zone 2, the same as Juneu Alaska. It has forced me to get creative and try so many new things I look forward to sharing with you.

Recently added to my life is my own personal sharknado Nacho. He’s a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy whom my husband and I brought home at 10 weeks old. He’s joining a crowded family with my grumpy dragon Freya, also a Rhodesian, as well as an ancient kitty Dendi. This is his fourth Rhodesian puppy and he’s still showing them who’s who.

I'm going to show you how to create lush spaces, grow amazing vegetables, and create eye popping garden art. I will help you navigate problems like tropicals for low water, improving poor soils, natives that aren't weeds, and pest/disease remedies. I will show you how to bring the garden into the home with home grown charcuterie, garden cocktails, herbs chefs don't know, best cut flowers for repeated cutting, and color drenching to frame the garden.

I'll also explore the holidays with you with magical Halloween sculptures, how to make a Christmas jellyfish, growing your own Christmas presents, and gift guides for those impossible people in your life! I'm Gardener Coo and I've been gardening for many years. I want to help you make green spaces that thrive and are beautiful whether you're working with a few houseplants to a small patio or a big garden!
